Ndosho reception centre

The centre takes in, without conditions, the children and young people met by our street teams. They sleep, eat and wash there — and above all they stay as long as they need.

What happens there

• Immediate shelter, with no time limit
• Health check within forty-eight hours
• Catch-up schooling, six mornings a week
• Family tracing started as soon as the young person wants it

Why it is not a boarding school

A child who has lived on the street cannot bear a closed setting. The doors stay open: some leave, then come back. Those comings and goings are what build trust — not their prohibition.
