Schooling across seven schools in Goma

The project covers schooling for one hundred and twenty children supported by the centre, across seven partner schools in Goma.

Follow-up matters as much as enrolment

Paying fees is not enough: it is the monthly meeting with the teacher that catches a child slipping before they drop out. Each child has a named contact, at the school and on the team.

The main obstacle

Thirty-two children remain unenrolled for lack of a birth certificate. Civil registration takes four months on average and is currently the project's biggest brake.
